It's the writing of every storyline that isn't rue's that should be the main concern. I think the sex is the least of euphoria's (specifically season 2's) problems. Sex scenes are only an issue in media if the people filming them aren't comfortable/can't consent and/or aren't contributing anything to the story/characters (which season 2 past episode 1 definitely struggles with).īut, that's not what I really see from people, it seems people get more upset that there are boobs or cock being shown full stop, regardless of context. I feel the amount of shit euphoria gets for its sexual scenes just for being sexual really shows how prudish/ and lowkey sex-negative people are becoming. I really don't think euphoria of all things is going to contribute to more minors irl being taken advantage of b/c I highly doubt any irl predator is going to watch this show and be inspired to hurt people b/c of what they see on euphoria. None of these characters are real, all of the actors are consenting adults who, I think we all can agree, look nothing like actual teenagers.
